David Gostick

David has been Musical Director of the Bournemouth Sinfonietta Choir since 2003 and has led them through recordings, commissions and tours as well as discovering with them an unrivalled range of repertoire.  Their performances range from concerts with orchestras and leading chamber ensembles such as Kokoro and Bradford Baroque Band to ‘come and sing’ events as well as staged performances such as their very successful presentation of Handel’s Solomon. He is Organist and Master of the Choristers at Wimborne Minster, training the next generation of singers in the cathedral-style top line. His work takes him further afield as assistant to Jonathan Willcocks with the Portsmouth Choral Union and as conductor and player with the Brandenburg Sinfonia and Medici Choir with whom he regularly appears at St Martin-in-the-Fields. In the world of opera he has worked as a repetiteur and chorus master with British Youth Opera, Dorset Opera, Co-opera co. and the Oxford Operatic Society on productions of Carmen, La Boheme, Cav & Pag, The Rape of Lucretia and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.  He is Musical Director of Dorset Productions, conducting Dido and Aeneas and The Marriage of Figaro

Faye Eldret

. Faye studied vocal performance for four years at Trinity College of Music, London. During her first two years at college she was a choral scholar at The Old Royal Naval College.
Faye was in the College performance of Weill Threepenny Opera and Poulenc Les Dialogues des Carmelites for which she was awarded the Paul Simm Opera Prize.
Faye sang the roles of First Woman and Queen of Sheba in a staged production of Handel Solomon with Bournemouth Sinfonietta Choir, she recently returned to sing Brahms Ein Deutsches Requiem. Other Oratorio work includes Rossini Petite Messe Sollenelle, Mozart Requiem, Coronation Mass, Haydn Little Organ Mass, Bach St. John Passion, Wachet Auf.
With Dorset Productions she has sung the title role in Purcell Dido and Aeneas, the Countess in Mozart The Marriage of Figaro and Euridice in Gluck Orfeo.

Abbi Temple

Originally from Weymouth, Abbi studied singing locally with Christine Page before going on to Royal Holloway (University of London) and Trinity College of Music.  Supported by vocal department and choral scholarships, she studied with Hazel Wood, Robert Aldwinckle & Eugene Asti and took part in masterclasses with Michael Chance and Emma Kirkby.  
Equally at home on stage or on the concert platform, Abbi’s recent opera roles have included Despina (Così fan tutte) and Musetta (La Bohème) for Candlelight Opera, 2nd woman (Dido & Aeneas) and Mustardseed (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) for Opera Project, Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi ) for South Wessex Opera Co. and Zerlina (Don Giovanni) for Opera Anywhere.  Previous roles have included Giannetta (L’Elisir d’Amore), Barbarina (Le Nozze di Figaro), Polly Peachum (The Beggar’s Opera)and Euridice (Monteverdi L’Orfeo).   

Abbi is also an experienced Oratorio and Consort singer, appearing regularly with ensembles such as the Gabrieli Consort, English Voices and the National Chamber Choir of Ireland, with whom she has performed all over Europe and in the US.  Recent concert appearances have included Haydn Creation (Llandaff Cathedral), Mozart Vesperae solennes de confessore, Haydn Paukenmesse (Milton Abbey Music Festival) and a contemporary song festival at London’s Kings Place.  More information can be found at www.abbitemple.co.uk

Matthew Duncan

Born in Sussex, Matthew graduated in music from the University of Hull in 2004. He recently completed his postgraduate studies at the Royal Northern College of Music where he studied with Thomas Schulze.At the RNCM, Matthew sang the role of Herr Frank in the college’s production of Die Fledermaus. In a series of the RNCM’s opera excerpts, he sang the title role in Britten’s Billy Budd, Sid (Albert Herring) and Conte (Nina, o sia La pazza per amore). Outside of the college, he has sung the roles of Junius (The Rape of Lucretia) with Elemental Opera, Gugliemo (Cosi fan Tutte) and Dr. Falke (Die Fledermaus) with European Chamber Opera in Carmona (Spain), Schaunard (La Boheme) with Co Opera Co., Masetto (Don Giovanni) with Opera Anywhere, and Ivan (Die Fledermaus) with Alternative Opera Company.
He also appeared as soloist in a number of Oratorio performances including Bach’s Canata no.82 ‘Ich habe Genug’, Nielsen’s Springtime in Funen, Handel’s Messiah and Israel & Egypt, Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, Haydn’s Helson and Creation Masses, Durufle’s Requiem, Bach’s Cantata no. 67 and Schubert’s Mass in A flat.

Richard Immergluck

Born in South Africa and made his way over to England via Australia and Switzerland. He received his undergraduate degree at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama studying under Jane Highfield and Robert Dean. While at GSMD he performed a number of roles in opera scenes including Count (le Nozze di Figaro), Harlequin (Ariadne auf Naxos), Sid (Albert Herring) and in opera productions including Guccio and cover Spinelloccio (Gianni Schicchi) and chorus in Les Mamelles de Tiresias, Falstaff and il Tabarro.   

He has recently finished performing the title role in a modern production of The Barber of Saville on a British tour with Unexpected Opera which will be revived in 2011. Also recently performing the roles of Sid (Albert Herring) for Co-Opera Company and Frank (Die Fledermaus) for Alternative Opera.

He was recently employed with Grange Park Opera in productions of Norma and the UK premiere of Eliogabalo byCavalli, also appearing with the Welsh National Opera Orchestra conducted by Elgar Howarth in a concert performance of Der Fliegende Holländer.

His recital experience includes, most recently, an English and French song recital as part of the Bloomsbury Exhibition at Summerset House earlier this year and a series of operatic recitals at the Opera House Tunbridge Wells.

While in Australia he performed in many oratorio works includingthe St. Matthew and St John Passions, Handel’s Messiah and the Faure, Mozart and Verdi Requiems with St Andrew’s Cathedral Choir in Sydney.

Robert-John Edwards

Born in Stamford, Robert-John originally trained as a pianist and composer at Middlesex University and had small choral works performed at St Martin’s-in-the-Fields church and Lincoln and Winchester Cathedrals as well as at some local churches.  He trained as a singer in his twenties and attended the Birmingham Conservatoire as a Postgraduate, studying with Henry Herford, scoring a distinction and winning the PGDip course prize in 2007.  
Whilst at music college, he performed the roles of Dr. Katafelto in Williamson’s English Eccentrics, Scarpia in Puccini’s Tosca, Antonio in Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro and had 4 separate roles in Matthew Locke’s rarely performed Psyche.  
His professional roles include Benoit/Alcindoro in Puccini’s La Bohème for Co-Opera Co, Priest/Cadmus/Somnus in Handel’s Semele for Operamus , Ashmodeus in Jonathon Dove’s Tobias and the Angel and The Alcade in Mendelssohn’s Die Hochzeit der Camacho (both for Buxton Opera Festival) whilst being in the professional chorus of several productions for the Buxton Opera Festival, Carl Rosa Opera and Stanley Hall Opera.  As a professional understudy, Robert-John has covered the roles of Shadbolt in The Yeomen of the Guard, the Colonel in Patience (both Carl Rosa Opera), Harapha in Samson, Pancratius in Der Wildschütz, Father Phillippe in The Wandering Scholar, Gubetta in Lucrezia Borgia andDon Quixote in Die Hochzeit der Camacho Hat the Buxton Opera Festival, where is again due to appear in 2010.

Sophie Biebuyck

Sophie Biebuyck was born in Chelmsford in 1986. At the age of 11 Sophie was awarded a three year Choral Scholarship to study at Wells Cathedral School under the direction of Malcolm Archer.  Later she moved home and attended Brentwood School as a music scholar. Sophie then won the Dame Susan Morden Scholarship to study at Trinity College of Music in Greenwich where she studied under the tutelage of Alison Wells and Mary Hill. She graduated this year with First Class Honors before gaining a place at the Royal Academy of Music to study with Lillian Watson and Ian Ledingham on the Masters course.

In 2006 Sophie won the Essex Young Musician of the Year and was a Finalist at the Kathleen Ferrier Bursary for Young Singers. More recently she was awarded the Roy Pleasance Operatic Prize by Joan Rogers. Sophie is an experienced soloist having sung with many Choirs and Choral Societies on a local, national and international level. Her singing has taken her to America, Turkey, Germany, Holland, France and Italy where audiences have been anything from 20 to 2000 people. Operatic roles include Miss Wordsworth (Britten), The Handless Maiden (Joliffe), Young Sister (Dove), Despina (Mozart) and Cherubino (Mozart.
